Secrets of the Eagle is the forthcoming memoir of Andrew Freeburg, a U.S. Army soldier who served as a military assignee to the National Security Agency beginning in 1999. From basic training to a Top Secret clearance and work inside “the Building,” Freeburg writes about what he saw and lived: intelligence work, classified technology, and the personal cost of carrying secrets. This is his account—told in his own words. The book is still being finished and will go through required pre-publication review before it is released. It is not an official NSA or Defense Department publication.
